Abigail was the middle child of Minister Kingsley Shacklebolt. She was a founding member of Phoenix Rising. She was killed by Elaine Dupree because of her romantic involvement with Purifier traitor, Theodorus Nott.
Personality
Abby considers herself the resident bad-a. she does what she wants, when she wants, how she wants and where she wants. granted, she still accepts the boundaries of school like and needing to respect her teachers, but as soon as she graduates she's going to just let loose and do whatever she wants. when it comes to a career she's never really considered having one, she doesn't think that far ahead or that realistically.
abby lives in the moment and doesn't let things hold her back. she likes to pretend that she doesn't give a crap about anything when really there are a lot of things she does care about. like her sister, her mother, her deceased father, her friends-people are her biggest weakness. she doesn't show her caring nearly as much as she feels on the inside though. She can easily be found partying with friends or leaning against a wall pretending she doesn't care about her surroundings.
abby likes to flirt but she isn't easily drawn into commitment. she's only 17! she's got a life to live and she doesn't need some boring guy slowing her down. she'll snog with anyone but the second you try to take it further she'll throw the breaks on. she often gets around the school by jumping on a random guys back and making him give her a piggy back ride to her destination.
she's also an adrenaline junkie. she loves the danger and excitement of quidditch and she does parkour with her friends all the days. she sneaks into places she isn't allowed and does whatever dangerous things she can get her hands on because she's obsessed with the rush.
History
abby had lived a very comfortable life with her sister and parents in a nice house with a lot of publicity. her father, Kingsley, was the minister of magic for a good chunk of her life so she was used to strangers popping around to see how the family was doing, and they were doing great. it was a lovely, perfect, boring life for a very long time. abby learned at a young age how much of an adrenaline junkie she was. even before she attended hogwarts, she was messing around and getting in trouble with her mother left and right for climbing too high or playing with matches. she loves every second of it.
her older brother is five years older than she, and she is five minutes older than her twin sister, joanna. the girls grew up incredibly close calling each other sweet nicknames like 'jo' and 'abby'. most others called them joanna or abigail, their full first names. but the twins were more casual with each other and closer than anything. abby also got along really well with her older brother, seeing herself as a bit of a tomboy. she was also incredibly close with her father, definitely a daddys girl.
her life was peaceful and happy, though uneventful most of the time. when she and her sister were finally able to attend hogwarts, abigail was sorted into gryffindor first. she was thrilled, and unsurprised. but jo was sorted into ravenclaw, and abby was at a loss. she had rarely spent a second away from her sister. she felt sad but she also felt this insane freedom. she could literally do anything she wanted. not that jo ever held her back but... things were different now. she had her own space. it was hard to adjust for the first few months of school, but soon the sisters found a system and began to see each other and learn to live without each other. it was a new and exciting experience, one they both needed.
her life was good, exciting and peaceful. things were what any normal person would want, but abby felt like it was still a little lackluster. she needed someone big and exciting to happen to her, but she didn't know what. with this mind set, it was no surprise that she partially blames herself for her fathers recent death. abby took it hard, but she coped differently than others. others cried. others banded together. others become immovable, but not abby. abbys adrenaline addiction just got worse and she has been more reckless and dangerous than ever, not necessarily caring if she hurts herself. she wants to live while she still has the time because anyone could die at any moment. even her father, even her.
2022 - Death
After the dead first year was found on the train, she and James Potter formed Phoenix Rising. The small student group grew in size with the next murder and attempted murder of Ethan Johnson. It was also during this time that she started to see Theodorus Nott.
During the April Fools day attack Abigail was an active fighter, and did her best to stop the mercenaries. Unfortunately she couldn't protect Theodorus or her twin, who were both kidnapped. It soon was revealed that Theodorus was a Purifier however.
After graduation Abigail entered the Auror training program, and, after a time, she started to see Theodorus again. Theodorus would eventually turn rogue on the Purifiers and in retaliation Elaine killed both Theodorus and Abigail.
