Patient afflicted with a severe case of Dragon Flu - note the green hue to the scales

The Dragon Flu is a highly contagious virus that spreads via water droplets produced from infected individuals. Symptoms include high fever, coughing, fatigue and greenish scales erupting on the skin. These symptoms typically appear 3-6 days after exposure. Most individuals recover from Dragon Flu with no side effects. Frequent hand washing and keeping distance from infected individuals helps stop the spread of the virus, and the virus typically lasts 2 weeks to 1 month.

Signs and Symptoms

Symptoms of Dragon Flu include irregular body temperature (going raging hot to frigid cold very quickly), coughing, fatigue, and itchy, greenish scales erupting on the skin, typically affecting the limbs. Itchiness can be kept at bay using a special salve of aloe, powdered dragon claw, and morning dew. Healers typically prescribe bedrest and isolation for their infected patients, though cases can become serious enough to warrant a visit to the hospital.

Severe cases of Dragon Flu will be amplified. Severe cases can have long term affects in which their body never fully regains it's ability to regulate body temperature, and they can have permanent greenish scales or at least a greenish tint to their skin.

Prognosis

Individuals infected with Dragon Flu rarely have a serious enough case to cause alarm. Typically, patients can be expected to heal on their own within one month of symptom onset.

In 2% of cases, the scale rash can become internalised, leading to organ failure and ultimately death. Those that survive a severe case of Dragon Flu will have months, to years of recovery.

Cure

There is no known cure for Dragon Flu, only treatments to mitigate symptoms.
