The Purifiers are a group of revolutionaries. This group was started at Hogwarts by Elaine Dupree, during her seventh year when she murdered several muggle-born students to show her dominance and strength. In recent years The Purifiers have grown 'quiet' in the destructive sense, but they are are still lurking in the shadows, making connections and alliances to bolster their forces.
The Purifiers are broken into sections based on their skills. The heads are the commanders of their section and responsible for the successes and failures of their section. These heads make up the council, along with anyone else that Elaine personally appoints to the council.

Desirae was a founding member of the Purifiers, and Elaine's right hand from 2022-2023. She used her animal affinity to speak with Spiders to keep the Purifiers well informed of the comings and goings of Hogwarts. She was killed in 2023 by Auror Claire Slater.

Theodorus was a fellow founding member of the Purifiers. He was a well respected fighter in the group, but proved to be less loyal then anticipated. He betrayed the Purifiers and became a mole for the Ministry. The information he provided would lead to Desirae's death, and Theodorus was killed in early 2024 by Elaine.
Timeline
Here is a breakdown of events the Purifiers have been involved in.
Early summer 2022 - The Purifiers are formed. Alastor Draven is the leader behind the scenes, with Elaine Dupree as his "puppet leader".
July 14, 2022 - Draven murdered Minister Kingsley in the Shrieking Shack.
September 1, 2022 - Elaine murdered a muggleborn 1st year on the train.
October 10, 2022 - Elaine murdered a muggleborn 4th year on the Hogwarts grounds.
December 15, 2022 - Elaine attempted to murder Ethan Johnson in a Hogwarts tower. Ethan survived, and was placed under an unbreakable vow not to reveal who attacked him.
April 1, 2023 - Rumors spread that Ethan Johnson has died from breaking the vow. Elaine reaches out to Draven and Draven hires mercenaries to attack Hogwarts. During the attack they "kidnap" many of their student members, and a few students, to help their members escape Hogwarts without suspicion. Draven is revealed (to Purifiers) as the true leader of the Purifiers.
April 6, 2023 - The Purifiers are betrayed by Braelynn Rousseau and the safe house is raided by Aurors. Desirae Rousseau "kills" Braelynn in the escape.
June 10, 2023 - The Purifiers bomb King's Cross hours before the train arrives.
November 22, 2023 - Desirae Rousseau, and Elaine's right hand person, is tracked down by the Minister and killed during fight against Auror Claire Slater.
February 1, 2024 - Theodorus Nott is outed as a double agent for the Ministry. Elaine kills him and Abigail Shacklebolt.
May 19, 2024 - The Purifiers plant the bombs that will ultimately cause the carriage and ship explosions. They have one of their contacts, Kraken, take the credit for the explosions.
June 2, 2024 - Purifier infiltrators in Chimera's Claw spur the group into vandalizing Ilvermorny. During the vandalizing, the Purifier member steals valuable information from the school.
July 31, 2024 - Elaine kills Draven and officially takes up the true mantle of Purifier leader.
December 29, 2024 - The Purifiers organize a two part attack. One group riles up dragons from the MacFusty Dragon reserve and leads them to Hogsmeade. The second group infiltrates Azkaban to steal the "Magic Dampener" the prison uses to suppress inmates's magic. During the fighting though, the dampener is destroyed. All isn't lost, however, as now all the inmates are free and many pledge loyalty to the Purifiers.
June 7, 2025 - Elaine uses one of her disguises to convince the world that she is dead.
June 11, 2025 - While passed off as a firework malfunction, the Purifiers set of several explosions at the Finals Quidditch match to cause mass casualties and kill Minister Granger-Weasley.
