The Story

THE PLOT

The second, and final, downfall of Voldemort was followed by years of peace. Many of the heroes settled down and started families. Nothing can last forever though. In 2022, everything started to change. Mysterious murders, many even at Hogwarts, created fear and unrest. Near the end of the 2022-2023 school year the culprit was revealed, Slytherin seventh year Elaine Dupree, and she was not alone. She had built up an entire organization of followers, known as The Puriifers. These followers infiltrated Hogwarts to extract Elaine and several of her key student followers. By the end of the year, the Purifier’s struck once more by destroying a portion of King’s Cross minutes before the arrival of the Hogwarts express.

Months of silence followed. The Magical world was on high alert, but there were no further attacks. Despite recent events the Triwizard tournament returned to Europe, held at Hogwarts. The school year was a series of Champion challengers and events, with many Durmstrang and Beauxbaton seventh years completing their final year at Hogwarts. Hogwarts’ champion won the Tournament, and the foreign delegations returned home... but not before all hell broke loose. On the return trip, the Durmstrang ship and Beauxbatons carriage exploded, leaving some injured and many dead. But it wasn't the Purifiers who took responsibility for the attack, despite their involvement. A new contender, a magical terrorist group known as Kraken claimed credit.

Kraken’s actions motivated other terrorist and extremist groups to perform controversial acts of violence. An American rights organization, known as Chimera’s Claw, vandalized and compromised Illvermorny’s foundation during the summer of 2024. Due to necessary and extensive repairs, Illvermorny was forced to remain closed for the upcoming school year and many other Wizarding schools opened their doors to the students, including Hogwarts. With the addition of several hundred more students, Hogwarts is a bustling place this school year, both for better and worse.

Unfortunately, a terrible event struck. During Hogsmeade annual winter festivities a horde of Dragon’s fell upon the Wizarding village. While it was quickly contained it was merely a diversion. Azkaban prison was attacked by unknown individuals and the prison’s magic dampening device was destroyed. All of Azkaban’s prisoners have escaped. The Ministry, with the aid of MACUSA agents, has been working tirelessly to recapture and repair Azkaban.

As summer fell upon the Isles a new ailment, dubbed Hag's Fever, has swept across the land and caused a quarantine, no one in or out. So, while all the Ilvermorny students are stuck for the time being, at least they'll be surrounded by their new friends from the school year!

PAST EVENTS

2022

Summer 2022- The site is opened!

July 14, 2022 - Minister Kingsley Shacklebolt is killed. Cain Reynolds is appointed temporary Minister of Magic.

September 1, 2022 - Start of Term. A muggleborn 1st year is found dead on the Hogwarts Express.

October 10, 2022 - A 4th year muggleborn Ravenclaw is found dead on the grounds of Hogwarts.

December 15, 2022 - Ethan Johnson is attacked by the murderer and survives. Minister Reynolds is killed. The previous Headmaster of Hogwarts steps down.

2023

January 5, 2023 - Neville Longbottom is appointed Headmaster of Hogwarts.

February 13, 2023 - Victoire Weasley is elected Minister of Magic.

April 1, 2023 - Hogwarts is attacked by mercenaries. Several students are kidnaped and Ethan Johnson is killed. Elaine Dupree officially comes out as the murderer of the students. The Purifiers are officially announced.

April 6, 2023 - Students that were kidnapped are rescued.

June 10, 2023 - Kings Cross is bombed hours before the Hogwarts Express arrives. The Purifiers claim responsibility.

July 1, 2023 - Despite worries about the timing, the Ministry announces the return of hte Tri-Wizard Tournament, to be held at Hogwarts.

September 1, 2023 - Start of Term. The Beauxbatons and Durmstrang students arrive at Hogwarts.

November 1, 2023 - The Tri-Wizard Tournament officially starts. The champions are announced.

November 16, 2023 - The First Tri-Wizard Tournament task starts.

November 22, 2023 - The Purifier, Desirae Rousseau, and Elaine's right hand lieutenant, is tracked down by the Minister and killed during fight against auror Claire Slater.

December 25, 2023 - Yule Ball

2024

January 25, 2024 - Minister Victoire Weasley steps down as Minister. Hermione Granger-Weasley is elected the next Minister.

February 10, 2024 - Headmaster Longbottom falls ill and steps down as Headmaster.

February 16, 2024 - Minerva McGonagall comes out of retirement to take up the mantle of Headmistress of Hogwarts.

February 25, 2024 - The Second Tri-Wizard Tournament task starts.

April 30, 2024 - The Third Tri-Wizard Tournament starts. Molly Weasley wins the Tournament.

May 19, 2024 - The Beauxbatons and Durmstrang students return to their schools. During transit the ship and carriage explode. Only a handful of students from both schools survive. A terrorist group, Kraken, takes credit

for the explosions.

May 25, 2024 - Harry Potter goes missing.

June 2, 2024 - Ilvermorny is vandalized by an extremist group, Chimera's Claw. Due to the structural damage to the school, Ilvermorny is closed for the coming school year and many of the families opt to send their children to Hogwarts, or other wizarding schools for the coming school year. (roughly half the Ilvermorny students will attend Hogwarts)

August 1, 2024 - Harry Potter is pronounced dead after his wand is found abandoned.

September 1, 2024 - Start of Term. Ilvermorny transfer students arrive at Hogwarts.

December 29, 2024 - Dragons rampage at the annual Hogsmeade holiday festival. Azkaban is destroyed and all of the inmates escape.

2025

May 12, 2025 - Hag's Fever spreads across the British Isles. A magical quarantine is put in place banning all travel out of the Isles for magical individuals.

June 7, 2025 - Elaine Dupree is "killed" by Ministry aurors.

June 11, 2025 - Yorkshire vs Wimbourne Wasps finals match. A "firework malfunction" causes explosion and many, including Minister Granger-Weasley, are killed in the accident. Travel restrictions are loosened (though still regulated).

August 1, 2025 - Viktor Krum is elected next Minister of Magic.

September 1, 2025 - Start of Term.

October 1, 2025 - The magical barrier around Hy-Brasil breaks and many magical creatures escape the Druid island. The Druids and Ministry start to work together to create a new barrier and capture the escaped creatures.

October 12, 2025 - Magical quarantine is officially lifted.

December 24, 2025 - a Magical ball is held by the British Royal family. All are invited.

December 31, 2025 - A mysterious island is discovered in international waters. The Ministry sends employees to investigate.

2026

January 1, 2026 - The news gets wind of the mysterious island. Explorers of all sorts rush to the new island.

January 10, 2026 - The Order of the Phoenix is revived and all factions dissolved. The news of Harry Potter's return remains hushed, but spreads through the magical community.
